Within 30 minutes of Leeds or Bradford, and easy reach of the M1, A1 and M62, and just 10 minutes walk from Wakefield Westgate train station. There is free off-street parking at the property enough for 2 large cars or small to medium vans.

The house has 6 beds across 4 bedrooms; two double rooms, one twin (single beds) and one twin with double beds – sleeping 10 people in total.

The house has a fully equipped kitchen with separate dining room and two living rooms, giving plenty of space to relax.

Each bedroom includes a dedicated work station with free WiFi in all rooms.

For families looking for temporary accommodation in Wakefield whilst awaiting a property purchase or renovation, we are also pet friendly so happy to welcome well-behaved pets.

Excellent location

Wakefield has excellent travel links, and our St John’s villa is only a 5 minute walk from Wakefield Westgate train station, which offers direct links to Leeds, London and Sheffield. There are also excellent road links for the M1, A1 and M62, providing access to other cities such as York, Harrogate, Manchester and Hull.

Our St John’s villa is conveniently located close to various local amenities including restaurants, takeaways and bars gyms and supermarkets, all within a short walk. We are also well positioned for businesses and employers such as Pinderfields Hospital, Fieldhead Hospital and Wakefield Hospice, Wakefield Hub, Newcold and Amazon warehouses, Card Factory and Coca Cola, Warburtons and Arriva.

Wakefield is also the home to a number of visitor attractions such as The Hepworth gallery, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Wakefield Theatre, Wakefield Trinity Rugby League Club, National Coal Mining Museum, and Wakefield Cathedral, and close to shopping complexes such as Wakefield Trinity Walk, and Junction 32 / Xscape.

Frequently Asked Questions

Payment of a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required on confirmation of your booking. This deposit will secure your booking and dates.
The balance is due 30 days before arrival or immediately when booking within 30 days of arrival.

At the time of booking, we ask our guests for a security deposit, particularly if there are pets or larger groups. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved a day or two before you arrive and then released after departure on return of the keys and if there is no damage, there is nothing you need to do.

We offer the following cancellation policy:

Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.

Yes we allow well behaved pets, however we reserve the right to request a damage deposit.

We welcome children to our accommodation but don’t have special equipment on-site, so you would need to bring your own.

We can sometimes be flexible on arrival and departure times, however the general rule is that Check-in is after 3pm (using self check-in) and check-out is at 10am (or 11am if you book direct).

Please advise your requirements at the time of booking and we will confirm if it’s possible to accommodate a later check-out or earlier check in.

If you would like us to arrange a taxi to take you to the station or airport on your departure, please let us know in advance.
